Default Blackberry Enterprise Server...I think

Please Login to Remove!

I am looking to get my work emails pushed through so they come through right away. It is my business (small) and I am trying to figure this out and how it is done. I saw something on RIMS website but it seemed really really expensive. Would love some help on this if possible. Thanks!

You would need an Exchange Server for email and a BES for the BB.

You can go to a hosted BES such as mailstreet or exchangemymail for an additional charge over and above the BES rate.

Why not use BIS? I run my own business (Sales, Trainign and Public Sector Business Development) and use BIS for about 8 different accounts, mine and client accounts. Never saw the need for instant email. A lot cheaper too!

Wirelessly posted (8320: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Some emails are still pretty much instant with BIS (yahoo and gmail)..

The new blackberry "Professional Software" looks somewhat affordable. But, your best bet might be BIS or a hosted BES.

There used to be a free version of BES - BES Express - for one user. I don't know if this is still the case, but I installed this on an old server in the rack, and it seems to play well with Exchange 2003, albeit after a rather painful install progress.

It really depends on if you have any messaging/groupware server already though - do you already have Exchange or Notes (otherwise this is a non-starter)?
