Default WiFi and Internet browser problems

Please Login to Remove!

Well, one day I was rebooting my phone after deleting an application and when it was done the reboot I noticed that my browser which came with the phone (Internet Browser I think it was called) had disappeared and since my WiFi has also not functioned properly. I can still browse the internet via HotSpot browser but am unable to access Blackberry app world.

I was going to restore it from my old backup but unfortunately you need functioning WiFi to do that, so yeah..

Any ideas what's wrong?

Have you tried a battery pull?

Have you resent service books (see the FAQ if you don't know how)?

You should not need WiFi to retstore using Desktop Manager.

Just tried a battery pull there and it didn't work, and i'll look around the FAQ now and try find the service books thing. I'm using the blackberry protect application on my phone for the backups, so thats probably why I need the WiFi.

Next time, if it comes back, use Desktop Manager to make a backup.

If you have a BB data plan you can restore from BB Protect once you get connected to RIM via the cell network.
