Hate to dissapoint you Daphne but when I go there and try to get an app this pops up:

Hmm....I found it on my PC - did not actually try it on my Playbook.

Well, some developers have released their bar files, and I took some parts of the SDK aside and found a way to have a loader that is 1MB in size. So if you look around on those "other" forums, you'll find some of what you're looking for.

Just as a heads up, the bar file must be signed for it to be loaded this way!

You're right, of course. The SDK could be used to load apps if you have the BAR. I expect over time there will be a small number of apps delivered this way between special interest groups that don't want to have their programs on AppWorld for one reason or another.
