Default Calendar > Wiped ???

Please Login to Remove!

My wife has a Blackberry 8530 on Verizon Wireless.

Yesterday, she noticed that somehow her calendar has been completely wiped with the exception of her daily reminder (morning alarm).

All calendar items are completely missing. Both old events and future events.
We can add new items and they stick around. But we are missing tons of previously entered content.

Details:

The blackberry is never connected to a PC. Ever... *Everything has always been done directly on the device.
We are not connected to a Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Email is simply setup for GMAIL (she is NOT using the google calendaring)
Calendar options > select calendar lists her gmail address and facebook and we have to to show all items from all calendars

With the exception of a game or two and a custom (verizon) theme no apps have been installed or updated on the unit except Facebook and of the apps installed, none have been updated recently.

Old emails still show up on the device (that were saved). Did not loose any notes saved in the notes/memo section. So it doesn't look like the device experienced a full wipe or anything like that. It is just like the calendar was dropped and we are now working from a new one.

There is a memory card installed. It is a 1gb card but still has over 850mb's free.

I did some of the basic troubleshooting steps: Rebooted the device. Pulled the battery. Reseated the memory card. Nothing so far has helped.

If anyone has any tips, suggestions or comments we would really appreciate it.

We know we have to start connecting it to a pc, if only to do a backup.

You calendar is stored (like everything else) on the device memory (possibly called app memory).
If this is low, it will start deleting things, like calendar, emails.

Please check and post back your file free. (options - status)

Wirelessly posted

When you open calendar, open menu, select switch calendar, and then select show all, the calendar is still not displaying the earlier entries?

I don't think service books have anything to do with it. You can delete all CICAL service books and your calendar will still be there. But it won't hurt to resend service books. I don't think it will change this issue, but it won't cause any harm.

I really don't know, but I've never trusted facebook since I suspected the app of causing my daughters 8820 to reboot to a reset screen requiring a wipe and OS reload on several occaisions. The fact that it can mess with the calendar causes me to wonder if that's a factor in the problem.
