Default Bloomberg on Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all

I am looking at getting Bloomberg setup on our Blackberry’s for our company and wanted to know if anyone has any info on this. Anything from what models does it work, what features and functionality does it have, how to set it up on the device and back end etc. More information the better. Please let me know what info you have thanks

Why don't you just download it, after all, it's free.

I personally think it's fantastic. I have it on a Nokia 5800 and I thought it was good. The BlackBerry version is even nicer.

You are BB terminal holders? You have Bloomberg Anywhere? You have BUNITs?

Bloomberg is not free. it requires a Bloomberg Anywhere subscription. There is even a hook service that installs on the BES side and serves market monitors over MDS. In any case NOT a free service.

He meant the Bloomberg app which is actually very good. Anyone not in finance or IT for finance, doesn't really know about BB terminals

It is certainly free or you would have a hard time explaining how I was able to download and use it every day without paying

I guess from your post there is more than one version, but the OP wasn't very specific.

There are two versions. The "free" version has delayed data.

Well, i was referring to the Bloomberg "service" (which is what people in the industry understand when Bloomberg is mentioned) and not an app that pulls delayed feeds or a couple of pages of news.

For Bloomberg you need either a terminal, or a subscription to Bloomberg Anywhere(tm) and one of those little things Imagebin - A place to slap up your images.

Now if the featureset of your app works for you all is good

On a related note: my DH prefers the free MarketLive application to Bloomberg for stock quotes. He says that although it isn't quite real time, the quotes are much more current than those on Bloomberg.
