Default Applications Memory

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

The Applications Memory on my B-Bold is only 23Mb. I am not sure what the normal allocation is on a new phone. Can anyone confirm?

Also, is there a way to transfer some of the applications such as games and non-essential items to the Device or Media Card memory?

Cheers.

Nope, you cannot transfer them.
Delete unsued lanagauges and any unused programs from the OS.

If you're running at 23MB you're doing ok. It's when you drop below 10MB you'll really start seeing a lack of performance and it's time to do a battery pull.

If your applications are installed through BlackBerry appw word, you can archive them to your SD card, but they will not be available for use.

I have just deleted a couple of surplus applications by going into Tools > Options > Advanced Options > Applications, then highlighting the application and deleting it using the menu in the BB Button.

I assumed that after 'rebooting' the phone, the applications would have disappeared.

I assumed that after 'rebooting' the phone, the applications would have disappeared. But I note that they are still in the Download Folder as ARCHIVED.

How do I totally remove the application?

Cheers.

App world - my world - menu - restore
then menu - delete/uninstall from inside app world.
Its best for applications downloaded through app world, to be uninstalled through app world
