yeah im going to training with RIM on april 7th now. The people from RIM's marketing team went for the training mid march. Its just a matter of time. I need to talk to some people from Ontario to find out the exact launch date. But at least they are starting training/ information sessions. I will update as soon as it happens. I think in Canada things got alittle crazy and msn put on the backburner due to the 8800 complications.

What problems are there with the 8800? Do we know if Bell and Rogers in Canada will launch MSN at the same time?

It was delayed since March 7th due to a GPS issue, Rogers had to reflash all the devices and get them shipped out. Next week we will be getting them. As far MSN is concerned I wouldnt see why not releasing it for all carriers, but RIMs hands as of current have been tied to focus on their main concern which is to get product shipped and ready to other carriers.

Am I the only one surprised that people actually use MSN messenger? Maybe it's just me, but I let that account sunset many moons ago..

Well... it takes all types. I use both MSN and GTalk for personal use. I use BB Messenger and Sametime for work. I guess it really depends on the person.

Can't wait for the actual msn messenger to come out for BB. Getting tired of using these other IM clients. Just doesn't feel like the real thing.

I would use this MSN program. While I also had an MSN account that I have phased out, there are still a sufficient amount of hotmail users who refuse to get yahoo or G-mail accounts.

this dates back to jan.feb '06

There is a thread about how to get it working but as of right now its not opperational, it was up and running and then whammy it was taken away by the blackberry gods. I suggest just holding tight till offically it gets launched. Hopefully tommorow....

sweet. i'm holding tight.

yeah, i've been a guest on this board for quite a while, and must admit that this MSN support in the Rumor Mill has held most of my interest. i've been eagerly awaiting any development from RIM with regards to this, and i'm quite excited that things definitely seem to be coming to fruition now.

you were right all along nsimpson!

i have an 8700g with t-mobile and you can download OZ Messenger that has aim, msn messenger, yahoo talk and icq all in the same program. you just sign into the one you want and u r there. text messaging rates apply here though that's the only bad part

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

When I attempted to download the MSN/Live Messenger I get the message "Notice-Sorry, your wireless service provider does not support Windows Live Messenger at this time." Has anyone downloaded this on Verizon?
