Boot time on this one is insanely fast from what I've seen. Won't comment on battery life until it settles in as so far it's been a drain but that always happens with a new install.

Apparently there is still life left in the 5.x OSs on the 9700. I thought the next leak we would see would be for a 6.x!

That's what i thought. But version number is at .938. Meaning, it is really close to 6.0?*sigh*.

No I didn't know that but it's okay now. This OS is working great for me with no problems and it fixed my annoying "call failed" message I kept getting all the time. And about the boot time it does boot really fast as well.

It boots fast as hell, but I am noticing some MAJOR lag with all kinds of random applications from pushing the hot key to launch the camera - and it lagging when I click the shutter button - to it just taking a long time to bring up the call log when I push the dial key. Pretty annoyed, but I am giving it time to "settle in," though no OS in the past has ever been this sluggish and taken this long to break in.

You're annoyed because you see a lag on an unreleased OS?
Wow.

Ive noticed sometimes when I dial a number and push send it doesn't work. Hitting send wont do anything. It takes a few tries of entering the number and hitting send before it dials.

Yes, insanely fast boot time: 9 (!) minutes on my 9700. Just the same as previous OS versions.

Which is the summary of every release of every OS:

It is either much faster or much slower
It either boots much faster or much slower

YMMV

This has happened to me multiple times as well. I just did a couple battery pulls and it stopped. I haven't had this problem for a couple days now. I noticed this problem when I tried to check my minutes through *646#. I was like what the heck?!? And noticed there wasn't a green phone next to the number.

I've tried battery pulls but the problem is still there. I found the easiest way is to push the call button first, then enter a number. It works every time.

Having that same issue as well. It would not let me dial 611 for Customer Service and I had to call the entry from my phone book. It's buggy but for the boot speed I will enjoy it until 6.0 comes out.

Another thing is after dialing the number scroll up on the trackpad that makes the little green phone come up on mine when I have this issue.
