I'm running 5.0 .238 with out a single problem.

All my apps work but I don't have many and BBM 5.0 is working as well.

Loving 5.0 on my 8900

I've been running ,238 for only 48 hours but I'm not having any issues that would cause a downgrade. I did use the VAD files for .190 and I'm having NO recognition problems at all. Everything I say it's gotten correct (so far).

I do wish Shortcutme enable Bluetooth and open Clock would work; and QuickPull Pro would be nice but I can live without all of those.

using 0s 5.0.0.238 for the last four days.

Working great on my Bold with all the third party softwares. BBM 5 is working great on this OS.

Wifi is excellent.

Really happy with this OS.

Default Bluetooth on 5.0.0.238

I have been running 5.0.0.238 on my 8900 now for about 4 days.
Everthing works great and I am mighty impressed with the new o/s.
All apps work, App store, facebook, socialscope etc..

Only one small issue I have is with regards to Bluetooth, very odd.
I have my car paried with the phone and this works fine. I also have a Jabra BT3030 headset which pairs and works fine to play music but I cannot use to place calls or accpt calls, actually not quite true, the buttons work I just get no audio.
I also have other devices such as Sony BT100 speaker and PCs paired. These will not work and I cannot even open thier properties or even delete.
I have read where people complain about the audio quality in .238, I don't have this issue - when it works, quality is fine.

All very odd but not the end of the world.

I had similar issues when I tried to use 5.0.0.190 on my 8900. My S9 BT headset and LG BT speakerphone would play music just fine. Neither would work with voice phone calls. Nor would my new Plantronics Pro BT headset. The handheld would not seek it and would not let me add it. For me this was the dealbreaker and I went back to 4.6.1.250. Guess I will run that until a better release of 5.0.0.xxx comes along.

Viigo fix, partial, my 58 year old dad figured this out.

first press, alt, then click on the scrollwhell, and then you are in select mode without having to go to the menu.

Takes a bit to get used too, but the closest thing to a shortcut I know of.

Wirelessly posted (8900)

Anyone have any luck with the visual voicemail on tmo? I called to try to add the service after the app told me to do so but she didn't know what I was talking about. She escalated to a blackberry tech and he said it isn't supported by tmo as they have no phones with 5.0+ and it is unreleased.

Same issue with the bluetooth for me. S9 headset pairs up fine, but no audio during phone calls. Same issue with being unable to edit bluetooth options.

Otherwise OS works great, much much faster, esp with viewing thumbnails. GUI much slicker too.

Shortcut "F" does not pull pofiles any more. Also noticed they are called sounds now. Anyone discovered a keyboard shorcut that allows for easy profile switching?

I'm still getting occasional freezes and resets: annoying but not enough to make me downgrade.

Has anyone else found that the sound in Voice Recorder is very distorted in this OS? If it's not the OS, I'd like to know what's causing it.

Yes. I was forced to downgrade afterall because of the horrible distortion. In fact my Vlingo could not recognize anything I said--I got some pretty off the wall interpretations. Everything is fine on 310. Sure miss the threaded SMS and Profile changes among other things, though.
