Unhappy My World

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,
I am kinda new to blackberry, so please bear with me. Is there anyway to delete the items that are listed in the My World area. I have an app called Weatherbug that is listed in My World, but it's not showing if it's installed or uninstalled. It's just sitting there. When I go to the area to download Weatherbug, there is NO button that says "download". It only says "reviews, "recommend" and "screenshots". I want to re-download it. I've done battery pulls many times. BTW I have a Curve 8520 running OS 5.0
Thanks

I can't remeber for certain, but I believe if you delete the app world folder on the media card, that will clear the entries under my world. If you don't want to do that, you could just delete any subfolders you find for weather bug first.

Darn. Truly sorry for giving you bad info.

I know there's an answer.

I looked at your OP again. Did you try opening the menu when you are in my world and trying to select delete from there?

I've been searching for a few minutes. Nothing jumped out at me so far.

If you want, back up and let's start over.

If you open options, then open either advanced options > applications, or simply options > applications, is weather bug listed as an installed application? (If you are on a newer OS, you may have to select third party applications, then look.)

If you see weather bug as an installed application, then delete it from there. Then start app world again and check my world again.

When I look in Options>Applications>Third party...weatherbug IS NOT listed there. I've even went as far as deleting App World, but even that didn't work. I wish now I never got rid of Weatherbug. Someone told me to try BeWeather. So I uninstalled weatherbug and got beweather. Not liking it as much I went back into app world and found weatherbug in my list in my world, and downloaded it from there. But now weatherbug isn't showing anywhere except in the list in my world. and even there it's not saying it's installed. it's almost as if it partially got downloaded.

Well I found the answer through searching the web. Hold down the

ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T. Thanks to

aiharkness for trying

Darn. I had thought about that and even tried it myself to see if would clear my world on my blackberry. But I guess it will clear an entry if the app is not still installed or archived. Good to know. I should have said, hey give this a try, who knows... and maybe saved you some time.
By the way, if you are downloading an app and app world hangs up on you and then you can't do anything, alt-r,s,t will reset it and fix that problem too.
