I have a 8310 from AT&T that I want to use on T-Mobil. How do I format the hand-held, completely remove the AT&T software, and install the T-Mobil software?

The software is from RIM, but just released from the carriers. You can still use the AT&T software on T-Mobile, assuming your device is unlocked and you're using a T-Mobile SIM card.

Putting software released by T-Mobile won't get rid of the AT&T splash screen, either, if that's what you may have also been thinking.

Sure you wipe the device of the Operation System, but you cannot remove the "AT&T" part as noted above.
