I seem to need to reboot (remove battery and put back) my Pearl every couple of days.

One thing that has happened is when I try to dial a phone number, the Pearl will not take the numbers. I can dial by address book but not by keys. I have not locked the keyboard. Maybe there is some other problem but re booting fixes it.

Also, my message and email inbox will sometimes not let me open the message, but will only let me select messages. If I scroll down to message 4, it will highlight all 4 messages as if I was highlighting to delete. Rebooting fixes this also. Again, maybe there is another explanation.

Is there another way to reboot without removing the battery? Turning the Pearl off and on does not seem to help

which brand, which OS version, any third party apps?

Removing the battery is the only way to reboot a 7100 or 8100 series device. Sorry, there is no keyboard shortcut or reset button like on other models.

I had to reboot my Pearl in order to change the data connection from a lowercase "edge" to an uppercase "EDGE". This solved my problem of not receiving any email on my work or personal accounts and not being able to connect to the internet.
