Default theme locks up phone

Please Login to Remove!

i am working on a new theme and i have everything working...except one thing...when i go to organize my icons and add a folder, the system freezes on that menu option...a battery pull is all that will fix this...what would cause this, and more importantly, how do i fix this? i have been able to create other themes using most of the same settings and these worked just fine...it's just this newest theme for some reason...

hahaha...well, you're supposed to be able to add folders, and in fact using almost all the same settings on other themes this worked just fine...however, i just can't add a folder now...

ok, i went back to another theme i've created and actually added folders to previously...i cannot add folders to this theme any longer either...the only thing i've done since i created the theme that DOES allow me to add folders is update my OS...

i removed the files net_rim_bb_media_320x240_b.cod, net_rim_bb_medialoader_video_83xx_320x240.cod, and all net_rim_theme* files (12 in total) except for net_rim_theme_bbdimension_zen_320x240_b.cod.

could it be one of these files that i actually need to add folders for organizing?

I think the default folder images are in a media package. I know they're not with the theme

Quite possibly. I'd try restoring that, then any other non vendor specific packages you've removed if that doesn't work.

@Perfect Storm:

the OS i installed previously is still on my PC...the files i "removed" were just renamed to have OLD at the beginning...i assumed all i had to do is go back into the files and remove OLD from the file i want to install..

i did that, connected the BB and went to the app loader...i assumed it would install that file...instead it wants to remove the calendar patch and two google apps...it doesn't say anything about adding that file back...

am i missing something?

No idea. This is why removing default packages is a bad idea.

You never wrote which version of the CDK your using but in the past i know if you used Transparency for that icon it would produce that effect when using the theme.

If you are using any icon that is not the default "default application icon" try using the default folder or icon used in the theme builder. See if that willl prevent you from locking up when selecting that icon in your theme.

God, i hope i explained that right? Anyway.....when making the theme and in the inspector where you can change the icons scroll down to the icon default application IF your using one with Transparency try changing it back to the default icons used.
