Default 8830 apps

Please Login to Remove!

I have just purchased a 8830 World phone. I would like to find our if anyone knows where I can get an application for Word & Excel that is compatiable
with version 4.2.

I tried Documents to go but they require 4.5.

Are there any other apps that could be used to import word and excel on the blackberry?

Welcome to the forums.

You could always install 4.5 on your device.

If you don't want to upgrade to OS 4.5 then follow Akosnitzky's advice. I would try the trial of eOffice before you buy it and see how you like it. I wasn't too crazy about the app myself.

I seriously would upgrade to OS 4.5 you gain alot more functionality.. HTML email, downloading ability in email, better browser, play list support, voice note recorder, etc.. and Docs To Go Standard.

I would like to upgrade to 4.5 but I was told that this could void my warranty.

I also tried the trial version of eOffice and it was not to my liking.

It won't void your warranty. Though, to be on the safe side, you should have a copy of the 4.2.2 OS to downgrade to just in case you need to send your phone in for repair.

Agreed. Your warranty will not be voided as you can always roll back the OS to a previous version.
