Default Wes pricing for attractions

Please Login to Remove!

I don't remember seeing this on the WES website last year....reduced pricing for attractions:

https://www.hello-usa.com/tickets/westix09/

I'm thinking about buying a "one day after 2pm" pass for either universal ($48)or Disney ($58).
Does anyone know if these are good deals or not?
Or, should I wait to buy tickets in Orlando.
Never been to either place before and wouldn't mind checking one of them out.

Nice. This wasn't available last year.

As for the after 2pm tickets, you need to look at when the park closes to determine if you'll have enough time to do and see what you want. They parks are pretty big.

Last couple years Disney's Animal Kingdom closed at 6 pm during the week of WES. Everest ride is worth a visit there.

Looks like Epcot is open until 9pm.
I know the place is quite large, but I should be able to take a quick tour around. Yes?

akosnitzky: you're a Florida resident! (lucky you)
I'm thinking you've probably been to Disney quite a few times.
Do you (or anyone else) know the "must see" places @ Epcot?

I live 215 miles south of Orlando. Every park deserves at least one full day, unless you have been there several several times and are operating as a small group.

Both Universal Studios parks are very good which are NOT Disney Parks but are just as big and busy. You should buy all your tix in Orlando. In addition, you will find deals there.

If I knew more about your interests and the age group of your party that may help. For example, one of the Universal Studio Parks is attraction type rides , while the other is more roller coaster oriented. I think the Universal Studios Park is superior to Disney MGM.

Depends on what you want to do. Epcot is 2-sided. There's the Future Showcase with really cool technology stuff and rides. Mission: Space is the closest you will ever get to going into orbit without NASA training. The World Showcase is nice to walk around, get a bit of culture and sample foods from around the world. Now if you're like me, AlanM and x14... spend 2 hours at the Germany Buffet. It gives new meaning to the word OOMPAH!

As Darth began to discuss, I see EPCOT as a whole day and with any park it depends on your interests. Although, I do believe everyone should do Magic Kingdom at least once

At each Disney park, there are some "must do" items:

Epcot
Mission: SPACE
Test Track
Soarin

Magic Kingdom
The Castle
The 3 Mountains - Space Moutain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain
Pirates of the Caribbean
Its A Small World - just so you can experience it. (Stu will never be the same again...)

Animal Kingdom
Expedition Everest
Kali River Rapids
Dinosaur
Kilimanjaro Safaris (go early in the morning before it gets too hot)

Hollywood Studios
Star Tours
Tower of Terror
Rock N Roller Coaster

Do you agree with my Magic Kingdom comment?

Oh yeah... absolutely. There's nothing quite like coming around the corner from the main entrance and seeing Main Street USA and the Castle at the end. It's breathtaking the first time and the 50th time. Just makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

Wirelessly posted

The Toy Story attraction was great but it was also the longest line of any thing that we went on during my last trip to Disney.

Not today I don't.
Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Each time I go to Universal, there's a ride that is broken or breaks or is under repair or is being refurbished. Scary, man.

Yes, Space Mtn goes down for refurbishment sometime in mid-April for the remainder of the year. Toy Story Mania ride is awesome, definitely got to use the fastpass on this ride.

Sucks about Space Mountain. I'm taking my kid to Disney in mid-June for Star Wars Weekends. Guess we'll find other things to do.

Default Cheap Tickets

I have been to this event for 4 years and now it will be 5 and the best price for tickets I found are through the Hotels. Especially the ones that have the disney sotres in them. Last year we could of bought the same after 2pm ticket for half the price we paid from using the discount link setup by RIM.

What i would do is call the hotel you are staying at and see if they offer any discount tickets. If not then maybe you can get someone from the event to hook you up and buy tickets from the hotel they are staying at.

Talking So Should I Plan on Universal If I Only Have 1 Day

Got approval - going to WES for the first time! I really only have Sunday to attend a park, as I fly home early on Friday and stuff seems to close early (what is the deal with closing at 6?) - and sessions go to 5:30. So, should I spend that day at Universal, then?

Owe you an faux beer darthberry used your justification doc as a template for my own.

Thanks!
