Just received a replacement 7510 from Nextel for a user. I try doing the enterprise activation and I'm getting "IT Policy was rejected so activation has been cancelled. Clear your handheld and retry."

Any ideas? I do alot of these but I've never seen this error.

Have you tried going to Options --> Security and doing a Wipe Handheld and then try to activate it after it reboots?

Nope, but he was in a hurry so I just cradled it up, installed the Desktop Manager and did it the old fashioned way. That was weird though, I've never seen that error and doing searches on both this site and Google came up empty. Thanks for the reply!

I just had the same error. I am security wiping now and will reactivate to see if that works.

This particular device had been on an old BES which we do not have access too and has probably been shut down. The old policy was the default, but the policy we have is very tight. We are changing to a default policy to see if that works for activation, then if it does we will push the more secure one.

After the security wipe, reactivation worked with the default security policy and then we successfully pushed our security policy onto it.

By the way we have BES 4.0.2 and 7290 Handhelds with the latest 4.0.2.49 OS. Not that I doubted you, rsun, but cayzac never said if it worked or not!

Good way to hijack a thread.
Try and search on "IT Policy" and find one of threads detailing how to remove it.
