Just a suggestion... many users are running into problems and one of the first replies is usually what OS are you running. Why not add the OS to the profile.

I think we had this discussion somewhere, quite possibly in my own head. I thought it came down to many users are either in the beta program at RIM or did not wish to disclose what OS version they are running.

would it be worth putting out an announcement (thread) asking people to update their profiles with OS? You can use it as an op to try to get other profile info updated.

While we're at it, why not also add an profile option for BIS or BES. It seems many problems are specific to one or another. This might make trouble-shooting easier.
