Default Phone not showing up on PC

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my replacement 8120 and loaded my address book fine. Went through set up.

I was trying to view/edit photos and when I plugged my phone in it does not come up. The bubble came up installing drivers but i can't access my phone. It is charging while plugged in and I have tried 2 usb cables.

I have re-booted the phone and still nothing.

I tried it on my laptop and my pc and it is not coming up on either. I guess I will just remove my memory card and upload / download directly to the computer.

Double check your settings again. You have card support on, mass storage mode on ... And what about the auto-enable setting?

If settings are correct next step is a hard reset. Rebooting may not do it. With the power on, remove the batteru for at least 30 seconds. If you've already done that, do it again and wait a couple minutes.

Only other thing that comes to mind is maybe someone used unauthorized software to alter the device and putzed it up. NJBlackBerry posted a link wrt to something like this a little while ago. And if that's it, there is a way to re-enable mass storage mode function, but I don't have the link.

Is there a conflict with Norton?? When I got my old phone my ISP was using McAfee. They switched to norton at the end of last year and I haven't tried to load anything since.

Another reason for my asking is that when I plug the phone in the Norton back-up drive disappears sometimes.
