No and no

On the 8700 you can use the BT for wireless headset and to sync up your PIM information (NO OTHER DATA) with certain approved laptop/desktop BT devices. No PDA syncing. No wireless internet. Just PIM data sync. No beaming.

Default Bluetooth connect

Now I have not checked into this 100 percent and don't really plan to once they told me the cost but I had a Tech on the phone today from Cingular that told me if I buy a data plan like the ones sold for the PC cards for laptops that the could put the data connect plan on my blackberry then they would send me directions on how to tether my 8700 to my Dell Axim using blue tooth. Now the plans start at $19.95 for 5 meg and go up to 79.99 for unlimited, I plan to use it a lot so I would need the unlimited. Now keep in mind that you are already paying 80 bucks for the phone and data plan to use the regular Blackberry features and that the data connect plan would be on top of that, So I plan to buy the unlimited Compact Flash card from Sprit with their unlimited data plan that cost $49.95 saves 30 bucks
