please does the bb bold 9700 has EDGE in it ,because i have read several reviews and they contradict regarding the EDGE.

It has EDGE, and 3G, and WiFi.

It most certainly has EDGE.

That's interesting because when us use the 'compare devices' tool on blackberry.com, the 9700 shows as not having EDGE.

Maybe the CDMA version doesn't have EDGE

The 9700 has EDGE. It's a typo. It has happened before.

In Canada, the 9700's being sold by Bell and Telus to run on their HSPA+ network don't have a fall back network (out of HSPA coverage, no service at all), the 9700 sold by Rogers has the EDGE frequencies as a fall back.

Bell and Telus only implemented 3G on the network. Their fall back is CDMA
