Got the Plantronics Voyager 510 today from Newegg.com. Newegg was great on service, but this headset sucks too! It only stays connected half the time, will not allow you to answer a call, and will not allow you to speed dial and connect. Volume was great as well as fit. But it will disconnect from the BB without you knowing it. So another headset gets the thumbs down. I give up. Will stick with the wired headset. At least it's dependable!

You're not alone, until I get my new headset, that is.

Have you considered the posibility that it is not the headsets that are bad but your BB? I have the plantronics 510V and I have never once had it disconnect on me. I am able to answer any and all calls without any problems, I do not know what you mean about speed dialing but if i press the button it will connect me with the last number I dialed without any issues. That coupled with the fit and the amazing volume control and lcarity of it both for me listening to the caller and for the caller listening to me it is by far the best bluetooth around. Pound for pound factoring in the cost and all you will not get anything better that this in this class. Barjohns review prompted me to get it as well as many others here that have posted about it, and I had yet to hear one negative comment on it till yours. In my books that tells me that since you are having all sorts of issues with all sorts of headsets, that barring anything else and all things being equal, that the problem is your unit.

Tiki, all things are not equal here. My unit has been checked over by the provider and from what I have learned on this forum, I am not the only one having problems with BB and bluetooth. Oh well, back to the wires.

Precisely Erica and the point is that a single headset should not then be singled out as being faulty, it is more likely that the problem is the unit itself. Case in point, many people have upgraded their OS to the newer OS available and have been able to solve those issues. All things considered the likely source is the BB unit itself.
