What about reading the FAQ that someone linked for you?

With NO data plan you may:

* make phone calls
* send/receive text SMS messages
* NOT use any instant messenger program that anyone has found so far
* use the device as a standalone PIM
* NOT send or receive any information over the internet, in any way shape or form, despite what you heard about it being possible

Use Palringo for IM over wi-fi... Opera mini for web browser over wi-fi... Gmail app works over wi-fi too if you have that. Another email client that works over wi-fi (and is free) is logicmail.

logicmail- www(dot)logicprobe(dot)org/proj/logicmail
gmail- m(dot)google(dot)com/mail
palringo- www(dot)palringo(dot)com/download.php
opera- www(dot)opera(dot)com/mini/download/blackberry/

So hah CO_BBTechie... way to be a meany pants.

I'm not sure if the poster meant a BB data plan or a data plan at all, but I dont have a BB data plan, just a standard data plan and can use features

Features.... any particular features? You won't get push email delivered to your device without a BB data plan. You may however, use some "features" with a generic data plan.

Randy, use of foul language is not allowed.

Keep it up and I will recommend a vacation. You waited TWO whole months to come and post your worthless comment. That is just about as foul as your language.
