Greetings all! I had Verizon transfer all my contacts to my new Blackberry Tour from an old non-smart phone. All of the entries which had multiple numbers on them were seperated into individual contacts with the same name and the respective numbers. Is there anyway to get these different numbers back under the same name on the contacts list? Or at least tell the phone to display a symbol next to the name in the list to show whether it is a work, cell, or home number (that information DID transfer over). Obviously the former would be perferred. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I believe that is a limitation of the device they use to transfer info

Or they moved it to the sim card

I don't know of an EZ way to merge the contacts

you could try exporting to a CSV and using Excel or something to manipulate it

I would suggest a local sync to Outlook, then editing everything in Outlook. After that, sync again with Outlook overwriting the BlackBerry.

I installed Google Sync and synced my contacts to my Google Contacts. I then went to Google Contacts and selected each group of duplicates and clicked on the merge link. They are all merged now.
