Yeah, I sent "mobileincanada.com" an email probably 2 weeks ago citing my issue.
I gave them the codes that I was given and asked if they could at "least" tell me if the codes were bogus or not.
And, if they were bogus, I'd get my codes from mobileincanada.com.
NO RESPONSE.
Not exactly the kind of warm and fuzzy feeling I would expect from a company who is "apparently" reputable.

Default MEP Loaded

I don't think you can unlock a phone that says MEP loaded.

Try putting it into `GSM` mode by going to "manage connections" then "mobile network options".

For Telus 9700 I think you use the "MEP4" instructions above.

Hopefully you can get it unlocked, from the ones I've gotten a hold of I notice the build quality on the Telus BB 9700 seem to be nicer than the other networks for some reason.

If you need the unlock code, go to cellunlocker they are fast and you can call them.

Thanks - but before I give more money away to get codes - I'd really like someone (in the know) to tell me why I keep getting the "code error....please wait".

Is it a phone problem, a code problem, etc....

I just unlocked my Rogers branded 9700 a couple of days ago. For me, it was a MEP2 and the unlock code was 8 digits long.

So I'm sort of new with the whole blackberry thing. My cousin gave me his bb 9700 the only thing is that I have to unlock it. When I tried the telus MEP4 instructions I got the prompt telling me to enter the code... now the code isn't the IMEI number right? Meaning that I would have to purchase a code online? How does that work exactly? Sorry I'm noob with this stuff lol.
