Download software HERE

Bell Mobility Releases OS 4.7.0.109(.76) For 9530 | BlackBerryNews.com

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

To find info on previous versions of the OS: Click Here.

The link above works. You just have to select a device.

Anyone with 75 installed this? And what improvements have you noticed.

Haha...we found out about it 5 minutes ago. We all will as soon as we get it. I'm sure you can just read what BGR wrote on Monday about the differences between .76 and .75. I still think VZ will release an even later one than this by the end of the week.

Have the file installed on CPU. Deleted vendor.xml file can NOT upgrade. DM4.7 does not recognize this as an upgrade on my device which is currently running the .75 leak.

And before you ask, yes I know what I am doing. I have installed countless "beta" non-carrier OSes. Not sure why this one is not taking? Any ideas?

Because DM 4.7 is a piece of crap.
Install .76 on your PC and then just launch loader.exe from the Apploader folder.
c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe

We won't bother to mention the hidden VENDOR.XML that has been brought up, either.

Someone who knows what they're doing should be able to figure that one out.

Alright uncle, I will remove foot from mouth. I did a search about the hidden vendor.xml file. Error with the msi when trying to modify my dm4.7.

As we speak am using the apploader.exe to upgrade. So In about 30 minutes we will see if it works!

Yes there is benefit. This is a newer build and addresses a few more issues than .75.
