Default Help!!!

I'm on my blackberry browser and obviously I can't see the interaction because all I get is like an activation plan page with a bunch of stuff about plans. Can someone be the eyes for me, what's there to see new? Anything about a date? (I'm no where near a computer right now)

I wonder if that means that the phone will sell for $299 with a 2 year contract????

I actually need to correct myself. When you factor in the $50 gift card, the phone SHOULD retail at $249 with contract.

While watching Fox Business at the opening bell today, VZ stocks were up on a rumor (which has been floating around here) that the Storm will be FREE w/data plan. Then CNBC had AT&T's Mobility CEO marketing the Bold. Just thought I'd pass this on.

I'm quite suprised, and frankly, a bit annoyed that they have not clearly defined a release date with the updates that have been posted online. I wouldn't believe them if they claimed that they didn't have one set yet, and I find it in bad taste to release all this data regarding features, services, easter egg hunts, ets., yet no clear indication of when the public will be able to purchase.

Based on what has been released, it does look like Nov. 15 would be a reasonable guess, but still at this late date, it's only a guess. I'm not moved at all by what has been released today. I'm actually disapointed.

FWIW, my Verizon business rep just told me this morning that it has been pushed out to the end of November now. No specific date, just the end of the month now.

Anyone else hear this?

Yah, I actually have heard that. I heard about it with the Bold..... ummm......' let's say, about a dozen times for the past few months. Hope we don't get a sequel from RIM.

The forum mod who attended the showing in LA last week was told the release would be around the end of Nov/beginning of Dec due to some network problem. I'll give Verizon credit for one thing over ATT: I bet when they publish/promise a date the thing will happen on that date. ATT butchered the Bold release, pissed off people who put down deposits in the stores and were told to come get it on XX date. Very embarrasing "release" for which they will pay dearly IMO. Classic case of knowing they have problems and not wanting word to get out. (word's out!)

You may want to do a little more research, AT&T delayed it not RIM! The Bold has been out for months on other carriers.

Well, the hunt ends on the 15th. So I think the 16th would be a really good guess at the official release date. But, that's just my thought.

Your right. I ment to say basically a network problem. But theres been alot of problems with the Bold as far as software issues and it not working with AT&T. So im just hoping that wont be the issue with the Storm, thats all...

Yeah, it just bothers me that they couldn't just come out and say that on the damn web page.

Default To go one step further.....

Does anyone know if the Storm will have its GPS also disabled unless you use VZNavigator? I e-mailed Verizon Wireless a few months ago and got the standard stock line "We cannot speculate what software/firmware will or will not be included in the price of the product, since it's not yet been released..."

Yadda yadda yadda. But frankly, it's the one thing I need to know before I bail altogether to the iPhone. I'm not paying an extra $10/month to use a GPS that's included in the phone....

Just my $0.02

Actually this go around, the 9500 hasn't had as many problems as it's CDMA brother(9530). Although, 9500's will need a SW upgrade the day it's sold.

Yes the GPS will be unlocked even with the Verizon 9530.

That seems unlikely to me, but would be a nice thought anyway.
