Default Re: password keeper

You have two possible options. If you have a backup of the 8330, you can restore that to the 8530. Otherwise, you will need to be able to connect to and read the 8330 with Desktop Manager, and either use the switch device wizard to transfer data and settings to the 8530, or do a backup/retore. Be aware that either process will overwrite whatever is on the 8530. If that is a concern, you may want to selectively restore the password keeper database.

If you don't have a backup and you cannot connect to and read the old BlackBerry, then you are out of luck.

Default Re: password keeper

The track pad stopped working on a BB Torch 9800. When the warranty replacement device arrived and I started the OTA, which was during the 'lost RIM week', the contents of Password Keeper did not carry over. Because of the activation problems, BES admin removed the account and re-added again, thereby wiping out something.

I took a backup of the old device and restored the contents; no data in PK. So I selected only PK to backup, which showed 26 entries, then restored it to the new device, but PK is still empty.

Other than manually copying to the contents of PK to a file of piece of paper and then entering them on the device, does anyone have a better idea?
