Default 4.7.1.61 (4.1.0.81) on Verizon Wireless Update

Please Login to Remove!

Just tried the wireless update option and it showed me an upgrade to the version in the subject. The platform version is slightly newer than the current "latest release" sticky thread.

Just FYI.... (hope it's not old news)

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

Thank you for sharing. Most of us will NOT be impressed until an official 5.0 build is released.

Echoing akosnitzky's complaint here: 8530 just got released on Verizon with 5.0 and WiFi. Come on!

Yeah, it'll be nice when 5.0 is officially released but I was glad to get his update. It fixes a few annoying bugs that were present in the original 9630 OS version.

wireless update just sits there on "requesting available updates...". Doesn't move past that and come back with anything on mine ... even "none available". Wonder what gives? I find this common on wireless update. I'm on 1XEV, 2 - 3 bars.

What OS are you currently running?
It must be an approved Verizon OS in order for wireless update to function properly.

I was able to get the update via desktop manager (Mac). Now it says 4.7.1.61. The option for wireless update is now missing from Options, Advance Options. Have you noticed that on yours?

I just finished the update via desktop manager. Took about 45 minutes. I just checked and I still have the wireless update option. (I am on a PC )

Wireless update is now there. Weird. Maybe because it was still plugged in vis USB cable?
