Yup. I contacted them yesterday and gave them the link to this thread and your earlier post. They emailed me back last night and told me they tried it with a clean install of .89.

Based on that, I upgraded from .77 to .89 this morning and BT (v2.5.4) still works just fine (after re-entering my registration code and URLs for my favorite Internet radio stations).

Thanks for the post on BerryTunes - sadly, it still isn't working for me on .89 even after a full wipe using JL Commander and OS reload, no data reloaded. I'm stumped and quite frustrated - BT is my favorite, most used app on my BB, I'm dying w/out my podcasts and radio stations. I don't know what's up w/my stupid BB!

To their credit, BerryTunes support is working w/me on it, they are great. Must be something crossed up on my BB, since it works on yours and theirs.

The YouTube issue is explained over at HoFo for Telus users. I cant post the link but its in the Telus form - Sub Form PDS's Smartphones and Air Cards - Thread BlackBerry Can Stream!!!

QUOTE E-POTS "My theory is that Telus is testing the Storm so it needs to open the data network up to test the phone to its fullest, and then they close everything when they're done for the day.

I think we're going to see alot of these yes/no streaming days until the Storm is released."

Quick question on locating the vendor.xml file. I use Vista and my file path is slightly different. since this an Alltel file would that be what I am looking for? My file path is C:/program files/research in motion/... then I have a blackberry file or a media sync file. sorry for the questions but I have never installed a different vendor OS yet.
Thanks
Chris

I'm on Vista.

It's: C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader -- and then you will find "vendor" at the bottom of the list

It should be the same for Vista just open Internet Explorer and copy and paste this in the address bar and it will take you there.

C:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Oh, and if you have not fully installed the above operating system (by clicking run, etc.) then it's not actually on your computer yet. You need to do the full download, which takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes (depending on your network speed).

Does this update work for Verizon Wireless? My bb is having a problem where at random times it wont go into standby by holding the mute button, which results in a battery pull get it working properly. Hoping an update will fix that.

I did do the full install of the OS download over lunch. That all went well. I must have been in a hurry and overlooked the common files folder. I'll look again.
Thanks

Yes it will load on a VZW 8130, read the first post and follow the instructions.

Berrytunes now fine again...had to wipe and reload a second time, but this time was careful not to restore any data or apps until I had loaded and tried BerryTunes first. Not sure what got tangled up, but now all is well, and I'm happy!

Your phone works fine, and doesn't "need" to be updated to the new OS...just take it easy and read and absorb information, and use your BB.

Sorry, can't resist it. A new OS for the taking... plus it'll let me take advantage of a 16G micro SD card. Finishing up the install as I type this...

new OS is great... have a storm theme that looks great on my pearl. The only big drawback for me is my Garmin stopped working, so i may have to downgrade.

Love the new Docs-to-go, but the little plugged in indicator isn't showing up when it's plugged in now...

This has only been out for a few days, so no one has had it that long (unless they got it early).

If you mean any version of 4.5, folks (including me) have been running that for weeks, and I haven't had any significant issues. This release seems quite good so far.
