If anyone wants a newer version, or an Over-The-Air download, this link was posted on HowardForums:
Version 1.91 Over-The-Air:
http://www.pdaapps.com/ota/VeriChat.jad
(330 kilobytes over the air!)
You must uninstall 1.78b before installing 1.91 though, otherwise you get an Error 907. OTA versions are not compatible with Application Loader versions.
Same activation code will work. If you decide to downgrade, make sure to uninstall via Options->Applications before reinstalling 1.78.

Lately I have a lot of problems connecting to more than one service (if I can connect at all) but I am unsure whether it is a VeriChat thing or a T-Mobile issue.

I have the newer version so if it is a software issue with VeriChat it affects version 1.91.

That varies by carrier to carrier.
T-Mobile never charges for Verichat if you are on the Unlimited plan.
It doesn't use minutes or SMS. It uses data, and your T-Mobile plan is unlimited with no caps.
The newest versions of Verichat uses less bandwidth. The next version will use even less bandwidth, since it's going to go all over a single socket and the keepalive code only needs to operate on one socket.
By the time the single-socket version is released, it should be safe to even run under Rogers with its 25-megabyte cap on its so-called "Unlimited" plan.

You need to type " http://www.pdaapps.com/ota/VeriChat.jad" on your BlackBerry to wirelessly download it to your BlackBerry.
There's no OTA page on VeriChat's site yet. So you have to type the full address on your BlackBerry. Version 1.91 is only available as a wireless OTA download.
As of February 25th, you can get 1.78 as a BlackBerry Desktop install, or a version 1.91 as a wireless Over-The-Air (OTA) install. It's usually easier to post an OTA file, and this is considered a beta release, however many people find it more stable than Version 1.78 so that's why many people prefer the OTA download at the moment.

I get the error "Failed to transmit" when trying to log in
I have a 7320 on Tmobile with no-BES/MDS running Verichat 1.91. I see GPRS, signal is strong, T-zones works great. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Will verichat support aim's new "multiple screen name" login? I currently login with 4 screen names on my desktop pc at the same time using this feature. (Most I would need on my bb is 2)
Also, can you turn off those popup alerts so that it doesnt popup every single time someone sends you a response while its in the background? Or atleast (probably better) only alert on the first new response, and hold off all other subsequent responses, until you re-enter that IM chat session. This would be specific to each indivudal chat session.
It gets dispruptive if your in another application and someone is typing away in the Chat, you get flooded with popup alerts, and have to chose no every single time.
Perhaps a different style of alert would help as well. (maybe one similar to the normal bb email/call/voicemail alerts, just tone is heard and the little number icon counter increases for each mesage
All this would be best set as user preferences.

You can do it all in the Profiles of your BlackBerry, hi-tech.
VeriChat rightly puts all notifications for the application in the standard BlackBerry Profiles application so you can have different settings for different profiles!
If it were a snake, it woulda bit-cha

The least disruptive way of doing things for me, is to enable Jump-Immedately-To-Chat:
Verichat->Preferences->"Jump Immediately To Chat"->Yes
That way, if I don't want to chat to the person, I just hit the Esc button two times and I'm back to where I was. Easier than clicking "No" in the popup.
I have already sent a suggestion about disabling the popups, a silent notification mode, for those people interested in that feature.
