Default Send option missing - New twist to old problem

Please Login to Remove!

We are having a widespread problem across multiple orgs and different carriers (TMo and Cing).
Symptom: User cannot send email. Further troubleshooting shows that the send option is missing when replying and composing an email.

All users are on different BESs (4.x) and do not use Desktop Manager at all.

I am familiar with this KB article from RIM.
Livelink - Redirection

Regenerated encryption keys. Resent service books. Removed CMIME and resent service books. Hell, I even resent the IT policy for good measure. The only solution we have is wiping the device, removing the account off the BES and then readding the account and reactivating the user.

Any thoughts? Are there any carrier issues going on the last week?

It sounds like something is wrong with the Desktop Sync service book. If you already re-sent the service books, get one of the bad devices, go to the Options, Service Books, and find "Desktop[Sync]" service book. Delete it. Now, click the wheel and hit "undelete". this will force a new enterprise activation which should set up the service books and keys anew.

no need to delete the sync, and deleting the sync doesnt go through a enterprise activation it goes through a "slow sync" so the encryption keys and serviec books dont get send down. only the exchange database's and some personal settings

Actually did a delete/undelete on [sync] as well as [cmime]
Deleting the [sync] causes the slow sync, but it did not restore the send function if I remember correctly.
