Default Website log-in problem. Possibly CNAME issue?

Please Login to Remove!

The other day I was trying to log into the forums and for the life of me I couldn't. It would accept my username and password and look like it logged in but then it would bring me back to the homepage and I wouldn't be logged in. But then I realized that my name was in the list of logged in members, and at that point I was really confused. To get to the forums that day I typed in blackberryforums.com. Randomly, I decided to add the www in making it 'www.blackberryforums.com and I was magically logged in.

So, to clarify, you can't log in correctly when at 'http://blackberryforums.com, but you can at 'http://www.blackberryforums.com. Is this a CNAME issue or some weird redirect issue or something? It's not a huge deal, but it's kinda annoying since I'm usually too lazy to type in 'www...

BTW, I only have basic knowledge of all this stuff (just enough to get my websites going) and so there's a good chance I have no idea what I'm talking about.

In Windows IE 6.0 in XP you can just type blackberryforums then hit ctrl+enter and it will add the www. and the .com to the end.

Hmm, I guess that solves the problem then. Thanks

works in FireFox also... I cringe when I watch someone on the computer typing in "www" and ".com"-- I have almost jumped over them to hit control-enter.

I've been having the same issue, but what I found helps is after you enter you username and password, it'll bump you back to the home page and look as if you're not logged in. Just click the "Blackberry Forums" logo in the top left corner, and it bumps you to the main page, and it appears as your logged in.

I've been experiencing this issue for quite a while... moreso now with the new skin, but it would happen on the old system too, not nearly as often though.
