Hey,

Does somebody know how to set up an emailaccount with only a WiFi connection?

I would like to receive my emals from my gmail into my phone. But I don't have a internet mobile subscription. But there is a WiFi connection at my work, so it would be really handy if could receive my emails in my inbox instead of constantly surfing to gmail.com.

Can somebody please help me?

You can't.
You need a BlackBerry Data Plan to get email on the BlackBerry device.

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Can you access the blackberry browser?

If so, you may be able to download the stand alone gmail app or use use opera mini to check.

I've been in a similar situation as I don't have a data plan. My best workaround (so far) has been to use LogicMail. It's fee and may not have all the features you may want but it gets the job done. Just flip on the wi-fi and I can check my mail.

My next project is to attempt to borrow a friend's SIM who has a BlackBerry already. I want to see if I can fool my Bold into setting up an account and then only running it with wi-fi. I have no idea if this is going to work. (Anyone ever try this?)

You will probably wipe out his BIS account.
