do you mean sans Wi-Fi and GPS locked to vznav?

i haven't really followed the curve details...compared to the 8130 "pearl 2" from verizon, what will the curve offer above and beyond aside from the full qwerty keypad?

A simple search of the FCC website database shows that no CDMA BB applications have been filed since the 8830. The latest filing was a few days ago and appears to be a Pearl GSM + WiFi.

While definitely not promising, the lack of FCC documentation does not always mean that there is something not on the horizon. It's happened many times before.

No. The FCC filing, in recent times, typically happens within one month of US release.

The 8130 should have been filed after the 8830. It was several months between the two releases.

Bigger screen, full QWERTY. It isnt much but it is importent to a lot of people.

The full keyboard is very important. I don't mind suretype, but in certain instances it can be frustrating (acronyms, serial numbers etc.) and now that there is a full keyboard bb with close to the same dimensions as the pearl (and a bigger screen to boot) it is a very appealing device. Just wish one of the faster networks would pick it up!

according to a reputable member of HoFo, the Curve will be out Q2 for Verizon based on internal announcements to Verizon employees.

It also appears that the Canadian CDMA carriers will be picking it up near the end of Q1 or early Q2 which further reinforces the rumour. Here's to hoping for March!

I'll have my Pearl tomorrow. I am going to stop into an AT&T store to compare them. If I like the Curve better, I may return the Pearl and wait for it.

I'm predicting that Pearl is going to returned at some point in the near future. Call it a hunch.
