Default URGENT: What happens when BES is turned off?

Please Login to Remove!

Currently I have an 8130 Pearl through Verizon. My company does not provide corporate handsets, but rather if you have a device you can opt to join BES. I have BES through work but I have provided 2 weeks notice that I am leaving.

My last day is tomorrow. When they shut my BES off, what will happen to my current calendar entries, and my address book?

I have several personal items on my calendar and the same for my address book. What do I need to do to make certain, I do not lose these? Especially since with my new company I may be given BES, but not sure yet how they work it there and if I get it on this handheld all that will be replaced.

So... assuming I do not get BES at my new company, what do I need to do to make certain, I do not lose my calendar and all entries along with my address book?

Your prompt attention is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You could do a backup of your data via desktop manager. The company may wipe your device depending on what their policy is when an employee leaves. With the data backed up, you could then restore what you needed.

Probably want to back everything up and then wipe your device with JL_CMDer to remove the IT if any apply.

A backup is always the answer to that question, regardless of the cause (BES remote wipe, losing the device, etc etc).
