At my work site I need to do a "hotspot login" with username and password to access wifi. We have a cisco system with an SSID and a passphrase but then you need to enter the username and password. With 4.6.x on my 8900 - no problem - I would see the hotspot login button, select it, and move on. With OS 5.0.x.x on my 9700 I do not get the hotspot login button. The OS connects to the router and says finished ... only I'm stuck and can't use wifi (or UMA which is what I really want).
KB article KB19449 says "With BlackBerry Device Software version 5.0 the process of connecting and authenticating to hotspots has been improved in a few different ways." I'm assuming that this broke the code for my situation.
Any one else have any insight or suggestions here?
Go into your blackberry browser, options, browser configuration, browser, choose hotspot browser, do not exit, hit back and goto Google or anything else. You should get the hotspot login.
Open bookmarks in your browser, expand section WiFi Services, you will see bookmark Hotspot Login there. Open it - should direct you through login process.
