Default No REAL @blackberry.net place??

Please Login to Remove!

So I've searched and searched...but is there really no place to check the inbox for my sprint.blackberry.net email other than my phone?

I upgraded something on my phone (who can remember), but it somehow gave me a good old error and when I installed the backup, it only took me back to Oct 21 for my bb.net emails. If there really is no real place for me to get to the inbox, if I use a back up from say...Aug, will that delete all of the phone numbers, calendar events, etc that I've added since then?

Thanks much

I was afraid of that... so if I use a backup from Aug, will that wipe out all calendar entries and what not I've made since then? I've never used a backup from more than a week old before.

Yes, restoring an old backup file will overwrite the data currently on the device.

Ok, extra desperate now...but if I use a back up from Aug, look for the stupid email I need, then use a back up from tonight? Hmmm that sounds crazy enough that it just may work?

You can use Advanced restore to restore JUST the email. Thereby preserving your current calendar.....

I was thinking along the same lines.

And you've probably already come to the same conclusion, but in the future, use your ISP email or similar for email you want to hang onto. Many advise against using the blackberry email period. I still use if for email I want to read right away and that I delete after reading.

And THAT is why I stopped by here first!! Thanks much!! I rarely use advance because my mistakes are usually huge and require an entire restore!

It should work. (If you only need a few messages from old backup file.)
Backup your device now (Current).
Restore the old backup. Find the message(s) and email them to yourself, or somewhere else.
Quickly turn off the Mobile Network connection so the message DOESN'T get sent to your BlackBerry yet.
Restore the other backup file (Current).
Turn on the Mobile Network connection and the message(s) should be delivered to your device.

+1. Always use a separate email account integrated with BIS. There are plenty of choices out there and you can use gmail, Yahoo and many other services if you want/need a new account to use.
