Maybe the Gmail contact synchronization dis not pass the "stringent Verizon security protocols"

As mentioned above, it seems that having the 5.0 beta doesnt seem to matter. We just have to wait.

I think its because RIM havent clicked a box to say "yes work" because they know they havent released 5 yet.

I wonder how much control carriers have on this. Can a Sprint user remain on 2.8 and an Orange user on 2.7?
