Exclamation running 5.0.0.323 on 9530

Please Login to Remove!

ok, so i have been using it for a couple days and i have to say that i am impressed with it. The update has alot of cool new features and alot has changed. Sms look really cool now, flick scroll, and just alot more options. The only downside is that themes dont work correctly. I am also having problems with my browser. When i go to some web pages it says it cant render them now. I even tried to switch from BB to Firefox and i still get the error. If anyone has solved this problem let me know please. But in the end i cant wait for the official release of 5. Sorry bout my grammer

For the themes, they were built for 4.7, and your not on 4.7 now...

For the browser problems, what one or two you can't access?

Well alot of pages work such as google, myspace, and other normal and common sites. When i realized i was having the problem i was on blackberryseeker.com cause i know they have an app i needed. everything loaded as normal but when i went to the download link i got the error. So after that i was searchn for a anwser to this problem and when i would click on a link that would be to bbforums or eveek it would pop up again and say it cant render. Im not the best with grammer so hope you can follow me here and thanks for trien to help

So what are one or two websites you cannot access?

Not being able to click on a link that may or may not be suitable for a mobile device is not uncommon...

i have never had this problem before untill i installd 5.0. You can go to blackberryseeker.com and click on 9530 or whatever your model is and then select apps. find an app and clik on it. go to download and usually it would pop up for me. i have been on the site a million times and downloaded alot of apps from it. But i should mention you need to change your browser from bb to firefox and download the zip to your sd. open it with ziplorer and install

I can go to google and search for something, and if its here or another forum site it will not render.

I might have solved the issue.. Went into options and enabled java and the other settings. Also wiped the cache and such. Had to disable event logs. i dont know why they were on but everybody should hide them anyway. i guess when i installd 5 it turned them back on. after doin that i did a quik pull which by the way is so much faster on 5.0 and only takes about 2 min instead of 5. Now im on bbforums and i got the app i wanted from bbseeker. thanks for listening to my issue.

i've been running it just over 36 hrs. so far the things that were in 4.7.0.151 that are no longer in 5.0.0.323:

my lock button is broken, with .151 i used to be able to hold down the end call key and it would unlock (either @ bootup or after locking). now when i hold it down it turns the device off.....i guess call this a FIX, but now the only way to enter the sim code when the phone starts is to press one of the bottom keys right around when the phone's doing the security check.

facebook 1.7 doesn't want to install

in the browser, stuff used to highlight when i put my finger on it (links, etc..) now i have to guess the item i put my finger on is the one that's selected

otherwise it seems to run fine on the phone, except the radio is less stable than .151 (i am a tmob user)

On every OS I have ever run on my Storm, including .151, pressing and holding the end call key turned the phone off.

apparently there's a work-around....if you press the end call key when the carrier logo appears or during the security check, it unlocks.
