I thought of two things right off. Have you done a battery pull with the phone on?
Also, you can get .448 from UK3 here:
https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...FA661ED1244039

or .526 from UK3 here:
https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...D5E4E4F82F9F00...

Both are very stable OS upgrades and both are official RIM releases.

Since you didn't specify am or pm, it is hard to say.

But IMHO, anything over 12 to 15 hours is good. Never let it run below 20% and keep it topped off when possible.

You can load any 9800 OS you wish. Doesn't have to be one released officially by your carrier. See the sticky at the top of the 9800 section and follow our instructions.

Each carrier releases OS upgrades in their own time frame. And what is their time frame you ask? Only they know and they aren't talking. I use AT&T and they were stuck at .246 for ever. I downloaded .448 from UK3 and was I ever happy I did. It cured several issues with the .246 OS. Just last week, AT&T released .526 OS upgrade and I have found it to be slightly better that .448.
If you feel iffy about going to .526, use the link to .448 and upgrade to that one. you will be very happy with it.
I would suggest a battery pull after completing the upgrade just to put everything in order, seems to help to get everything working together well.

just don't use DM to install to the upggrade to your phone.
Instead:
Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion and unplug BlackBerry.

Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

Plug in BlackBerry and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file was in.

Let it complete the download, pull the battery while the device is on, put it back in and biit it up. open DM then plug in your torch and back it up.
