Angry App error 523

Please Login to Remove!

I have a slight dilemma. I am visiting Canada for the summer and one morning I woke up to a white screen on my blackberry storm saying "app error 523 reset." As I've been doing a little research on this, to my understanding it happened because of 3rd party application downloads but I have never downloaded anything onto my blackberry, it just appeared one morning. I won't be at my computer that has all my desktop software until the end of August and only have a little Acer laptop that has Linux Ubuntu on it. Is there anything I can do to fix my phone now? I would hate to have to get a new blackberry sent to me as since I have been away for a while, I have not updated my backup on my desktop since May and I don't want to lose all the valuable information that is currently on it. It would be my 7th Blackberry storm in a year and I'm getting extremely fed up with it! Any help would be very much appreciated!

Find a friend with a Windows PC and reload the OS. I don't know if you can do much with a Linux box.

cant load device software in linux.
though you find software that lets you backup but not without some work.
you should look at this moment as an eye opener. if you needed a phone replaced 7 times, then you should be backing up everyday or took notice that maybe it was time for something new.

7 replacement phones in one year? I would try to find out what I'm doing wrong.
