Its a leak, not official.
And some blogs are reporting it for the 9520, as well as the 9500, which makes no sense.

update: so far so good 5.0.0.402 is great over all battery usage is good does not drain quick . it does have a slight memory leak but not major and still maintains performance no delay i think the OS is the best i have tried. everything is just quick and i love it even more that BEEJIVE has an app for it still in beta . the typing seems to be a little more quicker and there is no delay. when takeing pics it is also quick no slow down in snapping and auto focus . all in all def do the upgrade if you like 5.0 i am also running the ebay, facebook, ubertwitter and google sync also weathr bug. all running with no issues pandora is running on edage with less drops so its def working better.

Well the software I installed was for the 9500 not sure if it would work for the 9550 . Also I thought the new storm already has OS5.0.

If Blackberry Desktop Software can't find the os on my PC do I have to wipe the current os in order for BB Desktop Software to pick it up?
Right now It doesn't find it to install!
Thanks

Tried it, but downgraded
I did not like this version. First, it caused my online banking program to stop working. Kept getting a certificate error and wouldn't log in. Went away when I downgraded. Second, it fixed the third party theme issue by making the background rotate with the device. Thus, a background that fills the screen in portrait mode gets big black lines on either side of it in landscape mode.
