Default Wireless PIM work with Handheld 3.7 & BES 4.0?

Please Login to Remove!

I have successfully set up BES 4.0 on our MS Exchange Server 2003 and added 2 users with Nextel 7520 running HH software 4.0. Everything works great.

Today I tried adding a Verizon 7750 with HH version 3.7 and so far I can only get e-mail working. No wireless calendar or contacts. When I connected the 7750 to the server it gave me a message that I needed to reboot the server before the device connected would work properly. I can't do that right now but I don't think that's my problem. Is it possible that activation is not completed. When I did the 2 7520s it took about 15 minutes to complete activation. The only change to the 7750 is that the BB browser got added.

Not sure what to do at this point.

You need both handheld 4.0 AND BES 4.0 for wireless synchronization of tasks, contacts and notes. Both pieces.

WIreless calendar should work fine. You will need to load Desktop Manager and go into it to set up wireless calendar.

NJ,

That's exactly what I had planned to try next. Before we installed BES 4.0 I had desktop redirector running for e-mail and of course he was synching his PIM using the desktop software. I am assuming you mean I need to install the Desktop Software on the server.

You need it installed on his desktop. Go to Intellisync. Go to Configure PIM. Change Calendar from Outlook to Wireless Synch. Click on Synchronize Now for the first time to activate.
