Default Free Working IM Applications?

Please Login to Remove!

As the title says I'm looking for some free instant messaging apps for my 8100 with OS 4.5.0.174 from T-Mobile. I noticed that the packed in im programs stopped working during the later OS versions but I don't really want to sacrifice the features such as the media player and browser just to have a working im program, why not both? So far though all I could find and tried was Instango, which won't let me sign in and webmessenger which actually works but disables/mutes my profile tones...Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

You may want to delete and re-install the Messengers in question.

As far as free IM programs do a quick search for them since I don't know them off hand.

I must say thought JiveTalk is well worth the money if you will be instant messenging alot.

Jivetalk is wicked sweet but if you want an awesome free alternative I like to use Instango. With every release it gets better and better.

You gotta' try JiveTalk. I was using Instango myself, but switched to JiveTalk (it's on sale now, and like was said, worth paying for).

Except IM+ costs $50 and is inferior to BeeJive. The BeeJive user license is $30 and there will be $20 leftover to spend on more apps or something else.

That's why I got BeeJive

I just mentioned IM+ to name all the possible programs.

An EQO is free also... But BeeJive (JiveTalk) is much better for me.

i've tried a few including EQO, IM+ and beejive.

in the end i ended up paying for the beejive licence, its by far the best i tried out. free it isn't, but it sure is pretty damn good.

isn't jivetalk/beejiveim on sale this weekend? Or is that the iphone app only?

Anyone know when new version is coming about that supports contact integration/facebook chat integration?

Love the fact that instango works over wifi for my old 8320. Also seems to be a pretty good IM app from what I can see with the latest beta version. There's great control over notifications with the option to set your LED notification color for IMs.

With a few added features, this will be a perfect replacement for my BB branded clients.

I use WebMessenger, it's free, and I can't imagine needing more:

I don't have enough posts yet to post a link (silly rule imho) but just Google "WebMessenger"

Ditto. I've tried these all myself. Each are good applications but BeeJiveIM is head and shoulders above the others IMO.
