Exclamation blackberry and internet question (8110)

Please Login to Remove!

hey, i just got my BB today (pretty stoked) but i cant tell if its connected to the net or not... i dont want to like get charged for being on it 24/7... unless it is on all the time and just when you log into the browser it starts counting.

just curious... hope that made sense... because i dont see like a little globe anywhere saying "you are connected" so i dont know if im being charged or not...

im with rogers on the 25/month plan (for Data)

You really should get a BB data plan if you want to enjoy the full BB experience.

i have a data plan... 25 a month for like 10 gigs of storage or something... i just don't understand how it is you get charged... because it seems like the programs are always "up" like they dont load or anything they just kinda are... for example, when i click on facebook it just loads the screen i was last on. now does that mean that its charging me for all this time it has been on this screen? have i not learned how to properly close the program? or do i only get charged when i "update" the information for new posts etc.

just so while im sleeping its not chipping away all the websites i can visit...

just kinda confused...

also what kind of mods are their for BB's? like i saw opera was an option? that looks intriguing... im really curious just how customizable these bad boys are... any links to some information?

Do you see the diagonal blue lines going in the upper right corner of the screen? That's how you know if data is being transmitted.

10GB should be enough for most users.

Well that's too cheap for a blackberry internet service plan, they work out the traffic when you start refreshing stuff. like replying to this thread on the wireless over the WA or something like that, I am not doing it now though Also, try and browse for nice themes, there are free ones but I like themes from JC Designs Blackberry Themes the thing about BB you don't need to do too much to make it work, I have facebook, twitter, and docs to go and a GPS assisted software thingy by vodafone, and that's all I need, it is my phone, my diary, my email client, my Walkman and my driving direction all in one device. BB just works.

Opera mini its a good browser, has some advantages and disadvantages over the bb browser.
I prefer to have both of them.
