Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to view .doc, .pdf files from Blackberry Pearl. Do i need to download any software for that or its in built in BB Pearl. If so where can i get that.

I have a .doc file in my phone but when i try to open it, it says unable to open.

upgrade to the latest OS, which includes Docs To Go

You need to update your phone's OS to version 4.5 in order to open .doc files. The new OS includes Documents To Go software that will open .doc, .xls, and .ppt files. .pdf files are not yet supported. BeamBerry will open them but it's 3rd party and not free. Office documents and .pdf files will open as email attachments, though.

I have the latest OS .i.e 4.5. I have a Documents folder in the media but still it says cannot open .doc files

You should be able to open .doc files with Word To Go. However, I believe it requires the premium version to open Word 2007 documents.
