Default Could not start the camera

Please Login to Remove!

I tried to use my camera last night and got this message.

"Could not start the camera. Close all other applications and try opening the camera again"

I immediately closed all my other applications eg) signed out of Gmail, Google maps, Facebook, etc, but got the same message.

Any suggestions?
Great thanks!

Pull the battery to make the phone reboot and you should be fine.

Menu>options>Status (what is your file free?) If it's less than 12mb see the thread below.

Battery pull and check file free again, try the camera

I had the same issue with my first 8310 - out of the box. No additional apps installed and absolutely nothing running in the phone except the 'always running' apps. I was never able to get the phone to work... AT&T techs could not get it to start... BB support could not get it to work. I exchanged it for a new one and all is well.

If it's still under warranty and the battery pull does not work, RETURN IT.

I found the fix to this. I had to delete all uneeded languages, apps, etc. And got my free space above 3000000 Bytes. Once I did that, deleted all I could from memory - unused pics, sample images, etc.

No need to return the device.

Any questions PIN me - 319DB0B0

Cheers

WTF WTF WTF lol...i delete my google maps and it magically worked...pretty sure i was above 3MB anyways..but i dunnnno...w/e lol i am now happy! but google mapsless :( kinda both important apps. I hope I don't have to choose between them.

Also, this has happened before...I think i deleted gmail or google maps back then too and it seemed to work. Am I able to install these programs on my sd card?
