Default Intermittent email coming to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

We have a Blackberry enterprise Server 4.1. A few users are reporting they they do not receive all their email messages to their blackberry. They are running outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 on their desktops and there is no filtering with the desktop manager or on the blackberry itself. We have tried removing them from the BES and re-activating them, but it did not resolve the issue. Other users don't appear to have the same problem.

I am unable to see a pattern to the email they are not receiving and its legitimate business email.

Does anybody have any thoughts?

-Thanks

Are the emails in the Inbox in Outlook? If a message reaches the Inbox the BES is notified of new mail. Sounds to me like a rule/filter in Outlook or OWA.

I would check that first.

Yes, the email comes into the outlook inbox. It can be seen in Outlook, but does not appear to be received by the blackberry. Given that Outlook is unaffected, I tend to shy away from it being Outlook related. Is there a way to trace which messages are relayed to the Blackberry from the BES?

One other thing to note is that we do not store email on the exchange server. Emails are downloaded to personal folders when outlook is up and running. The mail piles up on the exchange server only if Outlook is not running. We have some users who work fine, so I don't think the send/receive removing the mail from the exchange server is a problem.

If email is delivered to a PST when Outlook is open then the email will not go to a BB. Wireless email only works when in the Inbox in th Mailbox, not a PST.

That's a strange setup.

You would need to know hen the user received an email that did not reach a BB and look i the MAGT log around that time for that users email address.

This sounds environment/user related seeing as the BES works most of the time except for some users and it's intermittant.
