Whats the best Bluetooth Ear Peice for the money?
Please Login to Remove!
Hey. I was just looking on ebay for Bluetooth headsets. What is the best type I can get for the money? I see they range from $29 all the way to $200. I just want something that will work well, is comfortable.
Thanks
Chris

Not sure about others' opinions but I've always been a fan of the Motorola headsets. I'm using an H700 now and have had several of the previous models. My biggest thing with these headsets is being able to close the boom to turn off the power. IMO it beats having to hold a button down for five seconds. The reception is decent and I'm sure there are other ones out there that are better. Just my .02.

I don't know if radio shack still has their special going for the plantronics 510 at 39.99 after mail in rebate, I picked one up and it works very well. Ithe headsets I had before were the sony hbh610 which I believe is/was the best headset with comfort and sound. The 510 is just as comfortable and the sound is very nice since the ear module fits in the ear. So, as of last week ithe 510 was/is the best bang for the Buck.

I agree. The Plantronics 510 is a great headset. For some reason my Jabra bt250v decided to stop operating at an audible level. Never did figure out the problem. So I picked up a 510 at Office Depot and it's even better than the Jabra. But I paid $99 for it, not $39. Apparently my aversion to going anywhere near a Radio Shack has cost me $60.

I really like my Plantronics 510. I am partially deaf and I think it is plenty loud enough even for me at ful volume. I even turn it down some!

I bought mine off of ebay new for $30, not bad for a Plantronics 510. Superior tone, volume, go for it.

I moved from the HS-820 which I thought was good to the 510, and I would not look back.

I've gone through a bunch of headsets and my two favorites is the Sony Ericsson HBH-300 and nxZen 5500 Plus.
The HBH-300 is by far the best performing bluetooth headset. However, it's size and look is something to be desired. This headset would be very useful in an indoor situation.
If you wear your headset while out in public, the NxZen 5500 Plus will definetly get the job done.
Both of these headsets aren't pretty like the Motorola H700, but they perform very well.

The 510 is great. Sorta ugly. Think it might be $50 or so on Amazon right now . . .
FWIW, the H700 is $80 after mail-in rebate at the Shack.

I have tried to use the motorola 850 and to be honest... it worked for the time being and from there on... all down hill. i dont know if it was just an issue with my 7100i, but using the 850 caused me to have lost of reception and a whole lot of dropped calls. I finally found out that it was the motorola 850 that was causing bad reception and dropped call... i undid the bluetooth and low and behold all the bad reception and dropped calls stop. My next step is to purchase the Scala bluetooth and see how that works.

Has anyone in the UK got a good Bluetooth headset working with their 8700? would the Jabra work with it?

I am LOVING my Plantronics 640!!!
I can't even feel that it's on. It doesn't interfere with sunglasses. It can be charged with my BB charger or a battery charger. It's crystal clear. It's amazing.
I used to have a Moto but I'm so glad I switched.

Hey Greenberg, i would like to get the JX10 but I'm worried about the volume being loud enough. What is your opinion now that you have used it for a while?
