Default OS4 call log??

Hey everyone. I just installed 0S4 on my T-Mobile 7230 yesterday, but now I cannot seem to find a call log other than the one in the phone app, and that does not sort them into incoming, outgoing, or missed. Am I blind, and just can't see the option or is that not an implemeted feature at this moment??

Thanks for any help in advance.

This help?

In Messages:

1) Click the TrackWheel
2) Select View Folder
3) Select and click on Phone Call Logs
4) click Select Folder

To define a hotkey for this, you need to create a custom search...
Check here for how to do this:
http://www.blackberryguide.com/guide...omSearches.php

You'll have to set the folder to "Phone Call Logs" and Type to "Phone"... leave the name blank to show them all.

Hope that's what you're looking for.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't even know that was there. Still new to my BB.

The last version of BBOS that came loaded on the 7230 from T-Mobile had call logs, and emails/sms/etc on the same view. I would just click messages, and that was the default way it displayed information. Is that something only found on that version of T-Mobiles release of the OS or can I set something like that up?

I haven't found a way to change the default view (if somebody has, please post)...

But you can define a search like this (basically, don't change the default search options when you open search):

Leave the Name field blank
Set in to "Any Address Field"
Leave the Subject field blank
leave the message field blank
set the Folder to "All Folders"
set show to "Sent and Received"
set type to "All"

Then save that assigned to a hotkey (maybe ALT+a for all?)...

again if somebody knows a better way, I'd like to know it as I find this somewhat annoying as well.

on the 7100 if you press "alt O", note it's the letter O not the number zero... it allows you to see your entire call log! Every call you've made since you started using the BB.

I'm not sure about the 7100.. but on other models ALT+O shows all the outgoing messages (including phone calls, hadn't noticed that)... so I checked, and yup ALT+I displays all of the incoming messages (phone calls as well).

Really I should have known that (lol, sometimes I make stupid mistakes). This is better than defining a custom search... but it will only display incoming or outgoing one at a time (not at the same time).

Also it'd still be nice to change the default view to show all messages.

Are you on BES? Because while I've noticed this, I can't determine if it was before or after our 4.0 devices were put on BES that this started happening.

I am on the BWC. 7100 Using 3.8.0.128--- Alt +O was working to see the entire phone log before the OS upgrade to .128

I'm on a BES... I'll check some of our webclient devices on tuesday, but I'm pretty sure they'll be the same.

You would think that RIM would have thought that maybe people would like to customize the default way they view messages (much like you can customize the calendar view). Oh well... maybe in the next release ;)
